Can someone confirm you have seen real IWC movements without any finishing other than engraving of the proper marks? I bought this Portofino from a local dealer with very good reputation, but only watch with no papers. The 35111 has a power reserve of 42 hours, and also features a date and stop seconds. Personally, I am convinced that IWC will also use a manufacture calibre in this pilot’s line in the coming years. After all, the Spitfire line received a factory update in 2019 and has been using the in-house calibre 32110 with automatic winding ever since .

That’s well within spec for IWC’s ubiquitous 35111 Calibre (a modified ETA 2892), but I hoped for better. As for the date window bedeviling pilot watch purists, I’ll simply say it’s the perfect size, shape and position to be completely ignored. In lookiing at these they are fitted with the 35111 Calibre which I believe is IWC version of Sellita SW300-1. Does anyone know what kind of accuracy you can expect from theses particular pieces fitted with this Calibre from IWC. Are these good quality movements?
